The Gospel According to Lost

I am not a huge fan of Lost to be honest. I have never really watched but I thought I would give the book a shot. I thought that maybe by reading this I would be caught up into the wonderful phenomenon of Lost. I thought I would get a glipse at what was going on the background of the characters and how they tied into the gospel. The characters are very believeable you expect the actors who are playing them to respone to the emergencies and crisis' the way their charaters would. This book was definately made for people who are true fans of the show. The book was very easy to follow, but at times it wasn't very interested. It was semi- boring when he talked about minor charaters to the show. Like stated before this book was really meant for true fans of the show. I'm not sure why I read it maybe I was looking for a little bit more understanding to what was going on. I really think that true fans of the show will get way more out of this than someone who isn't!

Redefining Beautiful a must read for all girls!

This book is a great guide for teen girls to use. It is a great way for girls to see that what the world tells them about beautiful isn't what matters; it is what they think beauty is. It is also very helpful for them to see what God thinks of them. I have been asked to teach this book for a small group bible study. I gladly excepted because this book is a great resource of scripture for girls to use. The questions that you have to fill out in the book are a great way to get girl to stop and think about how they truly feel about themselves. It helps to see if they have actually been viewing themselves as God wants us to or as the world says. As someone who has struggled with self-esteem issues I wish I had something like this to help me through my high school years. It definitely would have helped make high school be a little less difficult. It encourages girls to stay sexually pure which is something that just doesn’t happen in today’s society. Redefining Beautiful is a book that every young girl should read, to discover who she is and that they are beautiful despite what the world says!
